One-week course for boxing referees

Accra, Aug. 27, GNA - Thirty-one new amateur Boxing referees and judges have registered to participate in a one-week boxing course being organised by the Ghana Amateur Boxing Authority (GABA)

The course, which begins from August 31 to September 4 at the Accra Sports Stadium, is to prepare the participants for their respective assignments.

Among the registered participants are John O. Welbeck, Osei Welbeck, Ative Kwame Kludze, DSP Osman Tasi Mbedo, Ibrahim Ashong, Oheneba Amoako-Appiah, Nana Amerley Turkson, Moses Tettey Pornortey, George Akwetea-Quarshie, Sulley Issah, Tabil Amos Marcus, Cosy Hanson Mettle, Samuel Darku, Benedict Labor-Quaye, Solomon Amponsah Dodou, Sarbah Abraham Leonard, Daniel Asare, Emmanuel A. Tetteh and Erasmus Dowuona Owoo.

The rest are Eric Afrifa, Ebenezer Quaye, Christopher Quaye, Michael Kofi Quarshie, Humprey Nortey, David Ahadzie, Justice Obuobi Ashong, Adolphus Nii Amoo Dodoo, Felix Mankatah, Samuel Nii Adu, Osman Tasembebo and Lawrence Nii Moi Addo.

Mr R.O. Solomon Jnr, General Secretary of GABA in a Press Release copied to the GNA Sports said the course is still open for interested members of the public who wish to take part in the course.
