Neequaye fired up for ESPN Friday Night Fight

Unbeaten Ghanaian Lightweight, Samuel Kotey Neequaye, is up and ready for action this Friday February 21 when he fights Mexican, Fernando Carcamo in a Lightweight contest at the Edgewater Hotel & Casino, Laughlin, Nevada, USA on the famous ESPN Friday Night Fights bill.

World title chasing Neequaye (21-0, 15 KOs) who already holds the NABA Lightweight belt has acknowledged the task facing him against the highly rated Carcamo, a southpaw and former WBC Youth Silver Lightweight champion.

But in the same spirit of self-belief and determination in pursuit of world championship glory, Neequaye has assured his fans to expect nothing than victory against Carcamo on Friday.

“I’m asking for prayers from Ghanaians, they should pray for me to win because after this fight bigger opportunities await. Every time I enter the ring, I think and fight for my country and I hope to bring the world title home soon to make all of us proud,” Neequaye said from his US base.

Meanwhile, on the same venue, night and bill, Neequaye’s compatriot Yakubu Amidu faces American, Chris Rudd in a non-title bout over 12 rounds at the same weight.
