Kwahu Tyson to fight in Canada soon

Emmanuel Omari Danso, the history chasing Ghanaian heavyweight boxer who has vowed to follow in the footsteps of his mentor and hero, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson by attaining world championship glory, gets the biggest chance to announce himself to an international audience when he fights in Canada early next year.

Reliable Sportsinghana.com sources close to the boxer indicate that plans are in advanced stages for Danso, nicknamed Kwahu Tyson to test his credentials against a top Canadian heavyweight in North America as he pushes to hit the limelight and start fighting for the titles he so dreams of.

Details still remain scanty but the development is one that Ofori Asare, trainer of the boxer believes is a move in the right direction because Kwahu Tyson, the WBA Pan-Africa Heavyweight champion has conquered all he has on the local front.

“We are preparing him to become world champion so definitely he needs the international exposure, so if the opportunity arises, why not? To be a champion, you have to take risks and I think he is ready now. So we are going to prepare him in readiness for the big time,” Coach Asare told Sportsinghana.com exclusively.

Also pledging continuous and unflinching support is his uncle cum manager, Kwame Acheampong popularly called To Be (A Man Is Not Easy) in the Katamanto business hub in Accra.

“Definitely Danso is going to be world champion and whatever support he needs to achieve his dreams, I’m behind him all the way. If it means he has to travel to Canada or anywhere else, we’ll be there to support him,” Mr. Acheampong said.
