Isaac Dogboe to fight in May

United Kingdom based Ghanaian undefeated Featherweight boxer Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe will face undefeated Edward Kakembo on May, 28 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Both boxers, Dogboe (13-0, 8 KOs) and Kakembo (10-0, 3 KOs) have a terrific record going into this bout come May at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The presumed headliner of a show dubbed “Ghana First” and staged by Aborigines Beach & Resort Promotions will see World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa and Interim World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan Africa featherweight titles at stake, according to Bukom Boxing News.

It remains unclear at this stage if it will be a unification bout for the Africa Boxing Union (ABU) Featherweight belt held by Kakembo, who wrested that title away from Nigeria’s Waidi Usman at the National Stadium in Lagos on December 26 last year, the same night Dogboe put on a show against compatriot George Krampah at the Accra Sports Stadium, stopping Krampah in eight to annex his two titles.

Dogboe has since posted an unanimous points win over another Ghanaian, Michael Pappoe, in Accra on February 20 in a successful defense of the two belts.

Aborigines Beach Resort Promotions who staged a very successful higher standard event in February at the Kaneshi Sports Complex will be looking forward to go set a highest boxing showdown in May at the Accra sports stadium.
