Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogboe increased his unbeaten boxing record to [13-0-0] on Saturday, February 20, 2016, as he cruised past challenger Michael Pappoe to retain his WBA/WBO featherweight titles at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana.

The London-based Isaac Dogboe, who represented Ghana at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, walked Pappoe through the rounds with punch and counter punches.

“Now that I have beaten Michael Pappoe if anyone puts a title before him, he’s going to win it,” Dogboe said in a post-match interview.

“I won’t take anything away from Michael Pappoe. I think he is a great fighter. He went down and came back stronger,” he added.

Isaac Dogboe acknowledged the effort of his Dad, Paul Dogboe for being the pillar behind him anytime he went into the ring.

The challenger, however, believed that it was luck that smiled at the champion to win the fight.

“What God has written, he has written and there is nothing that anyone can do to change it. I thought this was the right time for me to be crowned the titles, but I think God time is the best,” said Pappoe.

The bout was proudly sponsored by Aborigines Beach Resort in collaboration with TV Africa.
