The 2007 All Africa Games (AAG) silver medallist, Bastir Samir has lambasted sensational Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko for using delay tactics to prevent their match advertised fight because he [Banku] fears loosing.

According to Samir, Bukom Banku has been bragging for too long but he is running from their bout. He has also accused the boxer of manipulating the system to get the date for their bout changed from September to November. The much anticipated bout between Bukom Banku and Bastie Samir was set to come off on September 30, this year.

However, the bout has been postponed to November. Samir speaking to Rainbow Sports complained that he has not been officially informed despite the change of date. Samir who was infuriated said he will defeat Banku even if he appoints his mother and father as judges for the bout.

‘’I am ready for the bout but Banku is not ready…I will defeat him even if he appoints his mother and father as judges for bout,’’ he told Isaac Worlanyo Wallace in an Interview.

The bout has now been moved from September 30, to October 21, 2017 at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra. A statement signed by Mr. Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, Chief Executive Officer of Box office promotion, said the postponement is due to request from a major TV partner which needs an ample time for pre-fight promotions, good planning for a world class production and programming to cover the event.

He apologized to Ghanaians for any inconvenience caused and promised to bring to the boxing fans and the general public the best boxing promotions for the new schedule date.
