GAABA prepares for second quarter league

Accra, March 14, GNA - The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) will on Friday, March 14 organise "open matches" for boxers from the various clubs registered for the second quarter league at the Prisons Canteen, Cantonment from 5:00 PM (17:00 GMT) The event is to test the preparedness of willing boxers towards the league, which commences on Friday, March 21 at the Prisons Canteen Complex, Cantonment. Mr Gideon Quartey, Chairman of GAABA said their would be a brief meeting with the Managers of and coaches of he Boxing Clubs registered for the league. He said the reciprocal visit of the GAABA Boxing Team to the Haringey Police and Community Boxing club in the United Kingdom would also be discussed. Some of the Boxing Clubs expected to participate in the warm up and the league are Akotoku Academy, Attoh Quarshie, Fit Square, Square deal, and Sagacious Boxing Club. The rest are Jah Blass, Will Power, Wisdaom, Panix, De Oak AshiamanStar High and Bronx.
