Fixtures of Week Four of Amateur Boxing Association rescheduled

Accra, April 17, GNA - The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) has rescheduled the Week Four fixtures of the third edition of its boxing league to Friday, April 25.

The fixtures, which was originally slated for Friday, April 18 was rescheduled to enable the Association take part in the funeral activities of the late Peter Assandoh, Technical Director of the Ghana Boxing Authority. The late Assandoh who passed away in February will be buried on Saturday, April 19 at Ekumfi Edumafa near Mankesim in the Central Region.

Gideon Quartey, Vice-Chairman of GAABA told GNA Sports on Thursday that the rescheduling of the fixtures has become necessary because of the contribution of the deceased to the development of boxing in Ghana. Meanwhile the GAABA has expressed its condolence to the bereaved family.
