Fit Square Gym dominates GAABA Special Contest

Accra, Sept. 8, GNA - Fit Square Boxing Gym was the dominant force during a special contest organised by the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) last Friday at the Prisons Canteen, Cantonment. The Accra-based gym emerged victors in three of the contest five bouts, which was intended to put the boxers in good shape for the second edition of the Amateur Boxing League, scheduled for later this year. In the Bantamweight division, Samuel Addo defeated his gym-colleague, Ziblim Zenuwah just as Emmanuel Quartey replicated a similar feat on Square Deal's Mathias Sulley.

Enterprising Duke Micah outclassed Jesse Lartey in the Flyweight category.

Raymond Commey of Square Deal beat Michael Pappoe of Panix Gym in the Featherweight division while Ben Lamptey of Will Power Gym scaled over Dade Gym's David Kojo in the Light Welterweight division. Gideon Quartey, Vice-Chairman of GAABA told the GNA Sports that the special contest will come off every Friday till the league commences. 09 Sept. 07
