Commey flourishes as he knocks down opponent

Ghanaian lightweight prospect Richard Commey won his bout in dramatic faction against Georgian Anzor Gamgebeli on Saturday at the Albertslund Musikteatret in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Richard Commey (24-0) of Sauerland Promotions put up a great boxing show against Gamgebeli stopping the Georgian in the second round.

Commey floored his opponent in the first round of the bout and twice more in the second round before the fight was stopped at 2.02.

The Ghanaian boxer is a mandatory challenger for the IBF World title against undefeated champion Rances Barthelemy( 25-0, 13 K0) also in the lightweight division, he therefore made a promise to put on a show for his Danish fans saying ahead of the bout with Anzor Gamgebeli which he did in style.

Commey is arguably Ghana’s biggest present hope for a world title soon as Ghana is struggling to make up world champions in recent years despite it talented boxers on the local scene.
