Ashaiman Gym dominates GAABA Week 10 fixtures

Accra, May 6, GNA - Ashaiman Boxing Gym put a splendid performance for the first time to dominate the tenth week of the inaugural Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) league, held at the Prisons Canteen in Accra at the week-end. The under-performing gym surprised many boxing patrons when recorded victories in three of the seven bouts to lift themselves from the bottom ranks.

Welterweight Ebo 'Electric' also displayed one of the best performance of the night by "electrocuting" Victor Quaye of Attoh Quarshie Gym via a first round knockout.

Felix Agbozo made it a welterweight double over Attoh Quarshie by defeating Ralph Coffie while Mawuli Akpalu accounted for Mike Osula of the Black Panthers Gym in the Light Heavyweight division. In the Middleweight division, Charles Stella restored some pride for Attoh Quarshie by defeating Fuseini Yalo of De-Oak's Gym. Square Deals' Sulemana Lamptey outclassed David Kodjo of Dade Gym in the Welterweight category just as Emmanuel Kwantana of Sagacious Gym replicated a similar feat over Joshua Addy of Attoh Quarshie in the Lightweight Division.

Dade Gym's Tanko Mandia defeated Confidence Hamenu of Jah Bless in the Featherweight division. 06 May 07
