There is no where in the world where the term of service in the military is compared or related to that of the Civil service. If that happens, you are going to have a large number of old men at the top with the all appoint vancancies filled up such that promotions will be difficult. Moreover, the military is supposed to have the overwhelming majority being young and energetic men and women who have the strength and capacity to defend the state in any situation. The military is not the police service. These idiots must understand how institutions are modelled and why they operate the way they do before opening their foul mouths to expose their ignorance.

NPP should make retirement age for soldiers 60 like civil servants. The problem of soldiers is comfort in retirement, not length of time in the service. NPP should promise retiring all Warrant officers on their pay like Colonels. There are some soldiers in court demanding some payment, npp should promise each of them ghc50,000.00 within 3 months upon resumption of office. NPP should also promise paying 100 dollars per diem on UN peacekeeping mission.
