What has dual citizenship got to do with Fifa and or football. If Aaron Wan-Bissaka is English by birth but Fifa allows him to play for the country of his ancestors who granted him full citizenship what has this got to do with a violation. Fifa had to ok that transfer of citizenship.
Isn't this also true for some who play ball for Nigeria like Alex Iwobi. Whether Nigeria allows dual citizenship or not is a moot point. Fifa is the arbiter who is allowing this so that some countries aren't left out or aren't under-represented.
Without this law Curaçao wouldn't be in the worldcup since its squad is mainly made up of players born in Holland i.e. Dutch citizens but played for Curaçao because of their blood relations coming from Curaçao .
