    There's absolutely teaching someone his mother's tongue at school when that can be learned at home, parents should be blamed if their children are unable to speak their dialect

    Brown, you are missing the point. The children are not taught the mother tongue in the school. Instead, the mother tongue was used by teachers in their teaching of the children. We even practice the same in Ghana here.

    These days, most people speak English to their children at home. I'm come across some children who don't understand or can speak Twi or Ga!!! Our languages are slowly dying with the future generations.
