  Our leaders in the 3rd World never learn the lessons of dictatorship, from guilded grace to parched grass. It is unstainable, always. Have we learnt nothing from the rise and fall of Nkrumah, Blaise Campore, JJ Rawlings, Mobuto Seseseku, Papa Doc and Baby Doc, Emperor Bukasa, Idi Amin, Ferdinand Marcos, and all strong men who were suddenly crashed at their weakest moment. Evidently, no condition is permanent and every leader's rule will ultimately determine the dignity or shame their exit and shape the people's final judgement on their legacy. Leaving your country in shambles will dwarf and erase whatever you achieve as a dictator.

  Babatunde, it's the same Western powers that placed many of those dictators on the people. There are videos of ex CIA officers declaring that they don't give sh**t about democracy. All they need are people they can control through the World Bank and IMF.

As the current state of affairs looks in Africa, NO democratically elected president can do without the IMF and World Bank who are agents of anti development. Paul Kagame is also a military person and has surprisingly changed Rwanda.
