  It's unfortunate that sweeping statements can be made, insulting an entire continent without proper facts or knowledge about the matter in question. For your information, vintage aircrafts, including those from the WWII era and even older than the Impala MK1, are flown in many airshows worldwide. Please check YouTube for video clips on this subject to gather factual information before posting comments on it.

  @Charles, the difference lies in the culture of maintenance, which ensures these aircraft can be kept airworthy and continue to fly where they are used. Unfortunately, air accidents are sometimes inevitable and can happen even to modern aircraft, as we all know. These accidents can be attributed to many factors, including pilot errors. You can see YouTube clips of old vintage planes flying at airshows.
  
  To add further, the aircraft involved in the accident, the Impala Mk1, is a South African-built Italian aircraft produced under license. This is the same aircraft flown by the late President Rawlings of the Ghana Air Force a few years ago, known as the Aermacchi MB-326. Two of the decommissioned Ghana Air Force Aermacchis (Impala Mk1) can be seen on static display at the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) Museum in Kumasi and the Air Force Officers' Mess in Accra. In comparison, the Impala Mk1 (Aermacchi MB-326) is an old aircraft, but there are many older planes still flying at some airshows
