Even politicians, when personally sick, recognize the value of medical treatment by a doctor who is not under duress from lack of proper compensation. Why can't the same politicians, no matter how high in the gubernatorial adder, act to reduce their own compensation? This would be a good example of prudent financial management

I became emotional and traumatised reading this write up. The African Union and so should help curb/ameliorate this cruel situation.

The guy is actually metal and coukd have killed himself anyway. Sad as it is, it is good he took his own life rather than taking the lives of others in the future.

I wonder if your a human or a robot. A life goes because the government is cruel to its people and its ok with you? Am sure you are a graduate of a 2 or less yrs course if at all you are. So you do not know what it takes, the cost incured and or go thro' to qualify to be a Dr.? But simple thought, you have to be strong so as to be able to carry someone. So if a Dr. works for 36 hrs without break, food and still thinking of rent and no medical cover, how then do anyone expect him/ her to be able to save life? It is like driving a car while closing eyes and expect not to die. See your life.

If he said there is no money to pay workers then how much does he collect as salary and his government officials why are their salaries not reduced to peanut to save others but still fixed amount hmmm. Our leaders are making Africa a hell. God punish those who caused pain to their fellow human.

Exactly. Let them cut down there's to accommodate other Kenyans.
While they are getting over10,000 for doing nothing then they say 1,600 is not available for Kenyans who have give there blood and sweet.

I don't know how bad the Kenyan economy is but, describing $540 per month allowance for an intern as a peanut is unfortunate! Internship is part of their training to make them fully qualified to practice and if they cannot survive on it, and just 4 months of delayed payments isn't that too bad for people who are learning to save life's. Our countries cannot be built if we can all not contribute towards that in small ways.

Please keep your comments to yourself or your country. If 540 is too high for you, in Kenya its peanut, we get 1,600. This is doctor intern not hr intern.
