The article fails to pint out Quincy was touring with the great Lionel Hampton when he was barely 14 years old back in the late 1950s. Hampton's wife tried during a train ride to convince the young Quincy to go back home and complete high school, but only Quincy could feel the vision burning in his soul. Quincy was a genius.
