This has been the practice over the years. The civil servants know about this arrangements. At the Finance Ministry especially, there have been times that some expertise is required to carry through specific programmes in financial management of the country. Specifically, officers have moved from the Bank of Ghana to the Ministry of Finance for specific assignments. If Haruna does not know this arrangement it shows how immature he is as a leader. Much so, pretending to be a leader of a political party which claims to be serious. The rot at the Finance Ministry may even require persons who the Minister will be omfortable working with and producing predictable results. This is not to say the civil servernts in top positions at the Finance Ministry are not good. They are good in their own right but the wrongs done to the economy by political leaders, who rode roughshod over advice, civil servants may have
proferred, will be first to accept this arrangement by the new Finance Minister. That is, if the statement Haruna Iddrisu is reported to have made is true.

The minister is putting square pegs in square holes. They know what they are doing. Just look at the positive direction of the economy in 6 months. NDC could not even achieve that in 8 YEARS.

Charlote announced the election after defeated Mahama conceded. Tell Ghanaians how that makes her a credible EC head. How did Mahama reach the conclusion that he lost the election (by over 1 million vote) when the corrupted Charlote said the EC did not have enough results to declare the election.

If NDC has short memory, Ghanaians don't.

What about the illegal possession of the V8 from the presidency and contracts as presented by the petitioners? According to the constitution, she is accountable to the Ghanaian people and Ghanaian have legally asked the President and CJ to impeach her. Proceedings will commence and she is therefore a defendant.

Again, when NDC took over the presidency from Kuffour's NPP gov't in 2009, all newly recruits in all sectors esp. the Army, the Police, Customs and other services were sacked. That also included all caterers who had been contracted under Kuffour's School Feeding program and replaced with NDC apparatchiks. Who do you guys think you are? For Christ's sake please stop this silly tricks because you're not human than anyone else in Ghana. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander!

what is wrong with bringing some expert databank staff to the ministry of finance if they have a specific skills than the ministry of finance employees. Must everything be turn into politics. These are some of the reasons why the country continuously end up paying judgement debts, because we fail to engage or seek specialist advice from experts in their field. The ministry of finance needs practical financial experts. It will interest him to know that even in the western world where they recruit civil servants from the top universities in the world, they still use experts from the top investment banks. If in doubt check where most of the previous secretaries of USA Treasury have been recruited from GOLDMAN SACHS.
This practise is not only limited to only finance professionals. It will interest him to know that Barristers on top of their game from top firms are usually recruited to prosecute complex important cases even though there are equally good lawyers in the Attorney general departments. May be going forward,Ghana attorney general could try same instead of the use of incompetent second rate lawyers at the Attorney general's office. We live in a country where Fresh graduates who haven't even a CV are appointed Ministers,
If the minority leader has nothing sensible to say rather than these senseless press conferences, he should give way to a more matured Honourable Bagbin
