Good question.
But because he was not facing a choice between right and wrong, as the choice was only between 2 places to play, I would not consider it a BRIBE. I would just see it as an INCENTIVE to remain with 'bahce.

Those European big clubs understand the business well, and when they win against their major rivals, they really chill and honour the players to show appreciation, because there's a lot of cash involved and it boosts the club's merchandise sales and stock value. They understand the business. 200,000 was just pure water money for a hero

Forget about Appiah. We are tired of him talking nonsense of his past. If he's made mistakes in the past, let him regret it but keep it to himself. We want to see the Black Stars of today and not yesterday. Yesterday's black stars will not and cannot do anything for us. Appiah should stay home in his retirement villa and enjoy what he has. Give me a break!

May be if the Black Stars of today, give us something to cheer about today, we may remember them one day. Until then, there is nothing to talk or write home about the present Black Stars; period.

Most short-sighted action by Tornado Appiah. Talking about 2006/7, that is when Stephen was flying high, esp after Ghana's impressive debut at the 2006 World Cup. Joining Everton would have catapulted him to greater fame, glory and wealth. That was when Michael Essien also was the heart of Chelsea and was simply magical in midfield. Can anyone imagine what 2 Ghanaian superstars would have done to and for the EPL and Ghana's image then? (Would be heavenly, compared to the mediocrity being displayed now in EPL by the Ayew brothers.) But INSTANT GRATIFICATION took over and Stephen sold his future for 200k Euros. This is a lesson to all future stars to think about long term consequences of their actions in any endeavor they wish to undertake.
