When the GFA is dominated ( about 95% ) by Akan men and does not reflect the diversity and different cultures of society, the final product is this job going to an Akan even if somebody else could do better. I respect him a lot but when he was a coach his performance wasn't 100%, these days football needs someone with accurate mentality in the game. Akwesi hasn't got that entities. Please Ghana think... you will make a mistake by bringing Akwesi Appiah on. CK Akunor might be good if Gh wants a local coach. I believe we need a local coach who had played in Europe before but very mature and had got some leadership training. GFA it would appear have no respect for home grown coaches even though they know the national game better than outsiders. Avram Grant has been a serial failure everywhere he has been, so what made the GFA think he would succeed in Ghana? At least Kwasi Appiah took Ghana to the world cup in Brazil, how many foreign coaches can claim that accolade for Ghana? Also when it comes down to being remunerated Kwesi Appiah was the second lowest paid national coach at the world cup in Brazil. And yet the GFA is willing to hand over large sums of money to foreign coaches. What kind of message does this send to footballers who want to rise up later in life and become coaches in Ghana. The message it sends out is simple…..we don’t respect you enough to appoint you and pay you the international rates you deserve. My advice to Kwasi Appiah…IS TO STAY WHERE YOU ARE. I love the Black Stars but the management is poor.

Willy Sagnol's remarks in a regional newspaper drew widespread condemnation and split the football world, prompting the former player on Thursday to apologise for his "imperfect semantics" and say he had been misunderstood.The row erupted after Mr Sagnol gave an interview in Sud Ouest newspaper in which he said: "The advantage of the typical African player is that he's not expensive, is generally up for a fight, someone you could qualify as powerful on the pitch. The committee could have easily head-hunt coach Silas Tetteh( Borbor) for the job with Kwesi Appiah becoming his assistant.Period!! By this Nyantakyi has also shown that he lacks de skill in determining who a good coach is and should never again lead any body in finding a coach. Never!!

Alan shearer in England did everything in football bit yet he knew he cannot coach despite everything. Playing football and captain your national team is different from leading the team. Akwesi cannot perform as a coach to me, he is too libral and slow and to me he is not a leader, he xan be the deputy which will be good for him, but to lead will not be an ideal for him. He was there before but he couldn't maintain it well in the end some player fell out with him. He himself knows that he cannot lead but because of money he might keep quiet and accept it but in the end Ghanaians will be the same people that will pull him down. Akwesi is a respectable man when it comes to football and l respect him a lot for his achievements but l don't see him as a coach or a leader as he has got those attributes naturally.
