  You learn to play "brofo ball" in Africa and you wanna be better than the "broni". Doesn't it occur to you guys that the last player in the Black stars who makes meaningful impact is Gyan and he is the last of the "munchedi" guys???

  These academies are beyond just football. Many of these players have also been able to get scholarships to colleges and universities in the West. Ultimately, we have to take that trade off because not every player will be a star. If football can get a number of players some education and eventually the college degree let us take that as a plus. Accam came out of Right to Dream and got a degree in UK. Fortunately for him, he won a reality show competition that led to his first professional contract. On another note, the author of the article should be reminded that Right to Dream is not just the poor. Accam for instance has a father who is an accountant and a mother who is a nurse. There are some "Dada Ba" kids in the Academy as well.
