Frimpong Joins Enyimba Camp

Ghana's U-23 international, Joetex Frimpong, has joined the camp of his Nigerian team, Enyimba, after receiving treatment for his leg injury.

Frimpong, who played a key role in Enyimba's early campaign in last year's African Champions League before he was sidelined by injury joined his colleagues at their camp in Ota,on Wednesday.

Speaking with Ghanaweb, Frimpong, who is one of the Enyimba players waiting to collect their brand new KIA Saloon cars for winning the Champions League said: "I am happy that my injury is over. I have joined my teammates in camp for preparation towards the new season in Nigeria. Moreover, there is the African Super Cup match against Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel."

When asked about his international career with the U-23 team, he replied: "I missed the first leg due to injury, but I am ready to explode as I have begun training with my club. I am ready to contribute my quota to Ghana's qualification for the Athens Olympics."

The Ghanaian scored six goals in the Champions League before he sustained an injury in the away tie aganst former champions, ASEC Mimosas, in Abidjan.

He was in the Metoers squad that hammered Liberia in the preliminaries of the Athens Olympic qualifiers, last year.
