  Unless otherwise you're confused, then I think your observation that the two giants; Kotoko & Hearts of Oaks are not producing enough good players for the Black Stars is faulty. You missed the key point (the proximate cause of the problem) in your observation. Here are a few things to think about:
  
  (1) How many Ghanaian players were playing abroad (in overseas) in 1982, when you said you handed the Black Stars 9 players from Kotoko? And
  
  (2) How many players are recruited from abroad to play for the Black Stars these days? Nearly 98% of the Black Stars is made up of foreign based players and that's why Kotoko and Heart of Oaks can't produce good enough players for the Black Stars. So, Rev, even if you were Kotoko’s coach today, I bet you couldn’t give the Black Stars 3 or 4 players. TIMES HAVE CHANGED and factor that into your analysis!!
  
  Lastly, the decline of the home league is as a result of the fact that "nearly all the good players that come out of the local teams are quickly plucked out by foreign teams" and are left with mediocre (team B & C) players for the home league. So, unless team owners & management pay their local players good money, the local league will continue to bleed—because the best players will continue leave for better wages abroad.

  You have to produce players from all the teams if they're good. Good players is the key to the league and with that you have a great National team. The competition will be though and the stadiums will be filled

  Kotoko and Hearts have contributed greatly to the standards of the BS but honestly what is happening today is not new. These two big teams monopolized Ghana soccer for a long time, even at administrative level they had favourites. Smalle teams hardly won any protests against in spite of evidences. At the end of league seasons they bought good players from the smaller teams and put them on the bench just to weaken them. A case in point was RTU’s first year in the league. After having cheated RTU to the finishing line, players like Nlai and Karimu Star Boy disappeared to Accra. I don’t remember correctly but there was a clause against transferring from a team if the player had not for more than two seasons at the club or something like.
  I may not like what Nyantakyi is said to have said and done, but I believe the monopoly should be broken at certain times for the beauty and excitement of the game.Look at what Leicester did in the UK PL. Simply fantastic!
  I may be wrong in all that I said, if so ignre everything.
