Mr. Adorkor paa. The footsoldier of a sports minister is going about judging people by their height and doing partisan propaganda all over the place. He has no time for all you have stated.

The problem is not the sports ministry or the lack of funding. Other nations with less resources do better. Do you know why? Because it is the administration of the federations that is the problem. They get money and they waste it on travel with complete novices to international events where they end up coming last. Thus they blow 30 or 40 or 50,000 dollars on a completely futile exercise. They do not present plans. They are unaccountable. there is no transparency. there is no selection criteria. so the problem is with the way the sports federations are run. it is not the ministry's job to do that but the federations. but what the ministry and the government can do is to say they will not provide any funding whatsoever until the federations present proper accounts and plans and show what results they got with the money they were givenn in the last 3 year period. If the ministry does this, and evaluates it they will be in a better position to ensure success going forward instead of pouring money down the drain. If they give the federations money, they just dress up someone in a tracksuit, call him a 'coach' and then give him half the money and pocket the rest!

Ghana does not have the coaches to achieve anything in any sport period.

Exactly. They just put someone in a tracksuit and call him 'coach'. It doesn't work like that! Not at international level.
