  My blood boils when I see stupidities like this because I know we can do better and provide our people with better resources to succeed.How do you expect any type of medal from the athlete in the picture at the Olympics? Meanwhile we can actually provide him with all the tools needed to train and succeed at least at the continent level.But we will choose to quickly forget about him soon after the Olympics and hope he can somehow continue to get better or some foreign country trains him for us.GHANA!WAKE UP!IT. IS YOUR COUNTRY!DEMAND. BETTER FOR OUR NATION AND MAKE THE LEADERSHIP PAY FOR SUCH STUPIDITIES!!!!#!

  This is not the President of the country's fault. I hate the way everyone just breaks it into a tribal argument. This is about sports and sports management. The issue is not the mattress. If you look at the photos the technique here is all wrong so even if this young man was jumping and falling on a bed of feathers he still would need to work on his jumping technique.

  The point here is not what the athlete falls on when he does his jump as long as it's soft and breaks his landing. The point is if he has proper coaching to have the right technique. So instead of crying over the mattress issue, we need to be looking at providing the right coaching. With the right coaching you can succeed even if you are falling on a mattress! That's irrelevant. The best thing to do is to have a proper review. It's not hard or expensive to get a proper set up for high jump for the paralympians and able bodied. And create a group of jumpers that can aim for 2019 African Games. We can do it. And still using the mattress or two or three mattresses.
