Harsh or not put your vision on the table and how you can achieve that and set about working with all to achieve that. Yes some dodgy people have remained permanent at gfa but verbal abuse, ego clashes, castigating black stars for wanting some of the money that they help earn etc is not the solution. Put forward a vision and plan, work out which elements of constitution must be reviewed so the crooks dont stay too long or walk to retain their positions

Ghana football association takes all the money for football leaving nothing for other sports. they are not accountable. The Minister is right in bringing them to task and speaking truth to power of the football lobby. the point is that the Minister is right and we should get behind him. YEs we want the national team to succeed and be the best in Africa and the world. They have the talent.Ghana has a lot of talent and football is a great way of showcasing that and the country. But the point is that these men just lord over everyone and no one is allowed to ask questions or demand transparency. but the problem of the sports ministry is that they have to police a bunch of federations which are badly run, corrupt Presidents who are autonomous and that is the reason why despite so much talent in Ghana, not a single athlete manages to do well on the international stage. Smaller nations with less resources do better. When was the last time Ghana won an Olympic medal? And then when someone does, as in the case of Martha Bissah for instance at the Youth Olympics,against all odds it must be said, the federation tries to take over and then bullies and demands apologies and ends up suspending the poor girl because she doesn't do as she's told. So the whole nature of the set up is one of bullying power. If Federations are representing the country and funded by tax payer's money there has to be accountability. Right now whistle blowers get punished. So the Minister has to be supported and protected from the VERY TOP that ALL these Federations need a good clean up to protect the citizens, protect talent and encourage participation in a safe and fair environment. When it's cleaned up and transparent and only then, will corporate bodies with proper sponsorship feel safe to back Ghana and its sports men and women. I hope the Minister sticks to his guns and I sincerely hope that this opportunity is not wasted to reform the sports activities inthe country and the President call for some sort of inquiry into the way ALL FEDERATIONS operate. It's a joke right now. The Federation Presidents travel around the world, throw their weight around and act like dictators. the athletes are just pawns. Sometimes they even have to pay under the table to be selected. Meanwhile there are more 'officials' paid for and travelling to events than there are good athletes. Such a waste of money. Half the time the 'officials' don't do anything and dont even need to be present. But they charge their per diems and their travel costs. They're like middle men using the sports and the athletes to scrounge money from the Ministry.If you complain to the Ministry or the SPorts authority nothing gets done and the athlete gets banished or suspended. They're dictators. Most of the Federation Presidents don't even know anything about the sport they are representing! They just use their position. If it's cleaned up, and hopefuly it can be with a strong sports minister who is actually concerned and committed to doing this and has his back covered by the President, then money through sponsorship will follow. Until then no one intheir right mind wants to be associated with any sports in Ghana.

Kuffour's govt saw the need to give good incentives to our Black Stars and Ghana appeared air WC-2006 in Germany and caused big surprises. The solid foundation laid by Kuffour's govt has helped Ghana qualify to participate in subsequent tournaments. Now the NDC is trying to destroy all the efforts or hard-won reputation by inciting the public anger against the Black Stars. Monitor the boys before or after the match - which one do you mean. If it is during the match then it does not make sense because, automatically the coach will have to travel with the boys for the match and hence there is no need to recommend the coach to monitor the boys. As a coach, it is his job to monitor the boys during the game to know how they are performing and does not need recommendation - unless the coach does not know his duties. How many Ghanaian players do we have in the Japan league?

If it is before the friendly match in Japan, and we have Black Stars players in Japan, then it makes sense for him to recommend for the coach to go to Japan and monitor the players who play in the Japan league. If we do not have Black Stars players in the Japan league then it makes no sense to recommend the coach to go and monitor the Black stars players.

Was the recommendation meant for the coach to go and monitor Japan players and not Ghana players?
