Bernard Morrison sent off Congo derby against Mazembe

Ghanaian winger Bernard Morrison got sent off in the DR Congo Ligue derby as his side AS Vita Club drew 0-0 with TP Mazembe at the Stade de Martyrs in Kinshasa on Wednesday.

The former AshantiGold wideman was given a straight sent off in the 77th minute after a crunch tackle on Tanzanian attacker Thomas Ulimwengwu.

TP Mazembe also ended the stormy game with ten men after Malien defender Salif Coulibaly was red-carded few minutes from the final whistle after fouling AS Vita striker Kule Mbombo.

Ghanaian trio Yaw Frimpong, Daniel Nii Adjei and Solomon Asante featured for TP Mazembe in the epic clash.

TP Mazembe remain top of the table with superior goals scored since AS Vita Club have 11 points same as the former.
