Let us sympathize with our dear old player. He definitely needs something to eat before he dies for all of us to sing praises to him. Understandably, the government cannot do all but occasionally should do just a little more for our old dear players. What about the modern players who have been lucky enough to make it? They can come together to make some sort of foundation for the old folks. What about his team Asante Kotoko? Then also Manhyia doing something very little to honor him and their own old players? He surely must be hungry. Unfortunately, they played for no money but just praises at their time. Let us not be hard on him like that.

The problem with Ghana today is, we have become a country without dignified heroes but award and worship criminals with red carpet at state functions.

Players and individuals who made meaningful contributions to countries are ever held as national heroes even long after their deminish.

The writer should clean himself with hate and get something worth writing about than his diabolically conceived idea to demonized past Black Stars who put our national flag on the international football map for the young today to follow.

Osei Kofi and his likes are national treasures who deserve our respect.

He has a point. Look at the treatment being meted out to the current Black Stars ad their female counterparts. The authorities cannot even decide on the allowances to be paid to them. They have to go on strike before money is flown to them in Brazil. Is this not shameful? Rev. Osei Kofi you have all my support.
