Kotoko have been paid 54, 000 Euros as their share of the development fee for the sale of their former defender Baba Rahman to Chelsea.

Kotoko, who gave the player the needed exposure three years ago, have finally received the cash as part of their training compensation and solidarity contribution, courtesy FIFA’s International Transfer Matching System (ITMS).

The Ghana FA has forwarded the cash to the dethroned Ghanaian champions after receiving the booty from the English side.

The money from Rahman’s sale is expected to ease the financial burden of current manager Samuel Opoku Nti ahead of the start of the new season.
