He came to inherit players already groomed by Kwasi Appiah and has not been able to groom not even a single player. Is Grant trying to tell us that Atsu can sit on the bench at the club level for ever and still be a first choice player for the national team? Gone are the days when selection into the national team was based on competition and current form but these days it's become automatic for even useless players.

Otherwise a playmaker like Bernard Mensa or Frank Acheampong should have been in the squad in the absence of Atsu K. Asamoah or Sully Muntari. I think under the circumstances Jordan Ayew should be used as the playmaker behind the 2 attackers. The Comoros are going to employ the same tactics : 10 men ibehind the ball and fast counter attacks. This is a huge test for Grant and his team. Wish them luck.

I like Ofosu-Aryeh but I still would stick with Afful at #2.
