  We are interesting people. I dare ask for how long Akwesi Appiah stayed in Ghana when he was the coach of the Black Stars? Grant himself after his appointment made it clear that he was prepared to support Ghanaian coaches at all levels. The question we should be asking ourselves is are our coaches prepared to learn? The answer is no. The Ghanaian coach like Akwasi Appiah is self conceited (he's too known). I believe if our local coaches are prepared to learn, Avram Grant would be too willing to impart his knowledge to them.

Our local coaches are either too lazy to learn or are not qualified enough to take advanced courses to be at par with the so-called foreign coaches. We have the university at winneba which has got a fantastic sports faculty, how come that we don't have a department to train football coaches to a much higher level than the two weeks seminars which lead to so-called CAF Cert A or B qualification?? Renard Hevre studied in a sports institute with majors in football and physical education, this man has trained teams and taken them to win the AFCON twice within three or four AFCON tournaments and still arrogant Ghanaians still look down on him and still describe him as "the physical trainer who handled the Black Stars sometime ago" If necessary get foreign instructors to give the lectures and training in football training and administration. Govt and gfa must make use of the offers given by the foreign countries in form of development aid! Ghana has the facilities and Manpower to undertake such projects, but those in charge only think about their per diems and awuff money, what a shame!!!
