Kwasi Appiah, the attacker/striker is hurt at the moment. Besides, this match is for Grant to assess new comers.

Now, with all these new under 25 age mates at our disposal, how come the our olympics team always fall short? Everyone wants to play for the senior national team but refuses to play for the junior national team which has been prepared to sharpen players for the senior national team. There should be a way of getting most of these young players to play for the U23 team. It prepares them well for the Black stars and besides, that is the platform to step on before playing for the senior national team. Here is an example, Jordan Ayew could have profited from such a stepping stone instead of including him into the Black Stars. If you will many, who knows the game well, his level, style of play, and age, fit in perfectly for our Olympic team. He has the potential but not to the level of the senior national team yet. He is not alone. We have few in the black stars fold who could as well benefit from playing in a lower level to the senior national team.

Nyantekyi is not thinking of issues like these but thinking about becoming a FIFA president? Hmmmm, I see. Folks, we have a long way to go.
