You think you folks at the helm of government affairs can just talk anyhow to the public in justification to always fly monies to other countries for your share benefits. Ghana has become most disgrace African nation on earth. Ghana has lost her Gold Coast glories of the past. Ghana leaders are most disrespectful people on this modern age because they treat their own citizens as inferior, but the western world (white people) put first their citizens in respect to humanity.

Lack of innovative and creative minds . Maybe the committee was to tell them exactly what to do in situations like this. If you have embassies ,you transfer such monies into embassy accounts there, but as usual the Ghanaian govt doesn't want to pay bank fees for such transfers or transactions so they prefer the unconventional way of doing things. Very soon the mafia will be tracking these **** for the monies like they did Malam Issa . What a nation.

I don't like describing the Mahama administration as incompetent but the circumstances force me to. Fling money to go and pay Ghanaian footballers in foreign countries will never do any good to GHANA'S image. There must be a law that obliges governments to pay footballers on accounts opened in GH at least 3 days before the day of any international matches. As for paying footballers hotels the government must use normal international means of remittances like money orders, western unions tranfers, checks etc.

If government officials are incapable of planning they should be removed and sent to their villages to farm, and even for that some planning skills as to when to plant crops are required to be successful. We are sick and tired of government officials flouting laws but clapping on the sidelines to send corrupt judges to the bunkers. All law breakers should end up in the same bunkers, not only corrupt judges.

If FIFA says,Gov'ts should not interfere in the running of football, what the fuck is the Govt doing airlifting money to Rwanda?
In most decent countries,it is the responsibility of the Football Association to deal with players' bonuses .In England, the Sports Ministry does not get involved in bonuses. It is up to the English FA.
Why can't the Ghana FA be self sufficient? Perhaps, another evidence of the Ghanaian mentality of over-reliance on Govt.
If the Ghana Govt has to keep supporting the Ghana FA financially, surely, the adage " he who pays the piper calls the tune" comes into play and in that respect, the Govt can be expected to meddle in the affairs of the Ghana FA and even dictate who becomes the head of the FA without any bleating of any kind from anyone in Ghana or abroad.
Ekanson 8 years ago
All govt officials linked to the Sports Ministry should be made to refund the expenditure incurred on the World Cup Commission because they have rubbished what was recommended regarding the payment of bonuses etc.

Why is the government doing business in cash in the first place? It's a recipe for corruption and fraud period. Are we stupid or idiots? Why can't we learn from our mistakes? There ought to be a law banning any government business been done on cash basis. This will cut down drastically the looting and stealing going on. These corrupt criminals parading as government officials prefer doing government businesses in cash to avoid audit trails. We've to make it difficult and risky for them to steal. I'm an accountant for the state of California and every transaction, bulk and detail has to be covered by voucher and warrant for an audit trail. Why can't we do the same in Ghana? We must eliminate the corrupt systems put in place by these corrupt criminal officials that have created the enabling environment for them to steal and loot with immunity at our expense.
