In national teams there are always a generational dip. It's just a matter of staying relevant while reloading. Look at Spain, they're low right now but very soon will be back.

Food for thought from one of Africa's Stars , wh is pained that Ghana has won to trophy in the last +30 years. What a genuine concern! When is Ghana going to have someone like him or any other ex Black star takeover as coach of the black stars? I think Ghana has a fairly good Team but over-reliance on foreign coaches could spell a doom.

Secondly, the current national coach must also go. Ghana is unnecessarily spending over $1 million dollars in salary, bonuses, and travel expenses for a coach who is obviously not interested soccer development in Ghana.

Thats why we need people like abedi, tony yeboah, tony baffoe and marceil dessaily, and others to lead the association..and not somebody who never kicked even a tennis in school, even though not all former players become good administrators...look at who is head of european football...platini...and look at who is head of african football...hayatou...see the difference?...nyantakyi and his cohorts are using all means to deny professionals in the administration of ghana football...he changed the association rules for only team owners to be in the executive committee...he owns a team in the premier division-wa stars-which even is a conflict of interest and must disqualify him from the top post...he threatens the executive members, who are all team owners, with benefits and overseas trips, which come with allowances and so they will always vote for him...they are afraid of professional administrators, who will sack all the executive members, some of who dont know anything about football administration...even if tony baffoe, a former pro player in Germany and former black stars player, who now works with CAF and FIFA, contest for the presidency of GFA, the executive members, who vote, wont vote for him because they will lose their "benefits" if Baffoe wins...this is the problem.

We complain as if we will different but the value is the same the Ghanaian. Can't trust anyone and it is so because the rule of law is not respected so no one is afraid. People have too much power than the established instructions . And untill that change ,progress will remain a facade mirage

The major reason why Ghana soccer is in deplorable state right now is that there is so much divisions in our league system. For example colts, third, second, first and the premier. Due to the size of Ghana I think we have to use the first division as our highest level like we did in the past. But since we like to copy from Europe the installation of the premier division into our system is not helping because a lot of talent has been scarce due to this monopoly.

South african league is even signing players from australia to new zealand, serbia and brazil.Their league thus getting international exposure and building links. You will think kotoko and hearts would own or part own with a cosortium including fa,local area administration their own stadium, have academies, women football club, football themed school etc but no

Where are all the neo rich who pride themselves with being on mtv cribs etc? Football is an industry, run it properly, encourage more private investment into it;not one person know it all run it all but encourage people to pull together in partherships and consortiums with tax incentive from govt if need be with a plan or program to raise standard of league for next 10 years published.Abedi is right to a great extent but raising the standard of the local league will not be achieved by fa alone but will depend on many other agencies, the economy and private investors etc. But yes we must begin to recognise and act to halt the tragic exporting of young talent for pittance and the low levels that the league is descending to. How i dont know all the answers
