This is not only about SWAG ALONE as the CULPRIT, but the whole SPORTS COUNCIL,THE SPORTS MINISTRY are to be blamed. First time it's WERE BOXING, ATHELETICS AND FOOTBALL. Then came HOCKEY, but if you look at the MEDAL CHART OF GHANA SPORTS at least TAE KWON DO has contributed. WHY WILL GHANA LEAVE THE LESS KNOWN SPORTS IN ABYSS? LOOKING AT IVORY COAST, they ride very high in football AND TAE KWON DO because the Government supports them. I believe IF GOVERNMENT SUPPORTS THE LESS POPULAR SPORTS GHANA CAN BENEFIT.
AFTER ALL FOOTBALL BRING IN ONLY ONE MEDAL, TAE KWON DO HAVE ABOUT SIXTEEN MEDALS, MEN/WOMEN, LIKEWISE, BOXING, ATHELTICS etc.

Taekwondo in general have not attracted media attention worldwide. It is the same all over Africa, Asia (with some exceptions-South Korea & China) Europe, US, Middle East, Australia etc. Perceived bias of some journalists within the mass media obviously exist, however, practical limitations to media neutrality include the inability of journalists to report all available sporting events and facts. Having said that, the president of the GTF is right to express his feelings. One of the solutions is to find somebody with expertise in networking & marketing. You will need to find somebody who loves the martial arts and equally has the natural flair to organise, to promote & inform the concepts of TKD. There is one thing being a martial arts expert, but to gain effective publicity, you will need a good communicator, highly organised individual or individuals to start from the grassroot levels, schools, communities, places of worship, etc, etc. One can be the best TKD fighter, yet he cannot market his skills or turn his skills into a multi-million company. Qualities include people who make things happens and people who are smart & intelligent in Public Relations & who can equally make governmental instituitions & private sector listen.
