Richard Aznto Commey Flies In IBF Rankings

... Ghanaian Champion now ranked 7th
The phenomenon Rickie Commey is only one slot to the Super 5 of the IBF world ratings giving him huge advantage for the Title Elimination battle. Commey who has had an accelerating climb starting from #15 a few months ago, is the most awesome and active boxer in his weight division.
According to IBF News Release, the IBF World ratings for April left number #2 at the Lightweight division is NOT RATED giving Richie Commey a huge chance to get a shot for the Title Elimination.
It is do or die for this son of Ghanaian Bukom area, a fishing shanty town strip near Jamestown in Accra, famous for producing world champions. Azumah Nelson came from Bukom, Poison Kotey came from Bukom and several others world notable boxers from Ghana.
In the latest April ratings, several notable African boxers shined while others lost their place in the world ratings for been inactive. South African Zolani Tete is the only Africa IBF World King at Jr. Bantamweight division respectively.
The Princess of African Boxing Helen Joseph from Nigeria dropped to # 2 for her nemeses Jennifer Han who is scheduled for their prostrated battle in El Paso, Texas, USA in June this year. Kenyan tough Lady, Zarika Kanghete is rated at #5 in the same division. Kanghete lost to Han last month on a short notice.
Hassan N'Dam of Cameroon is headlining at #1 in Middleweight division while Malawian Isaac Chilemba is at #5 in the Light Heavyweight division.
Namibian Paulus Ambunda and Ghanaian Fredrick Lawson maintains their #12 at the Jr. Featherweight and Welterweight while South African Chris Van Heerden maintains #13 in the Welterweight division.
In the Intercontinental Ratings, Namibian Vikapita Meoro is rated at #9 in the Cruiserweight division while Congolese Doudou Ngumbu is rated at #12 in the Lightweight division.
Namibian Julius Indogo is rated at #4 in the Jr. Welterweight division while Tunisian Hedi Slimane is rated at #12 in the Lightweight division respectively.
Ghanaian Maxwell Awuku is rated at #9 in the Jr. Lightweight division while Namibians Gottlieb Ndokosho and Sakaria Lucas are rated at #6 and #8 respectively.
Qatari Kid Galahad is rated at #2 in the Jr. Featherweight division while Namibian Immanuel Naidjala is rated at #6 and Ghanaian Duke Micah is rated at #12 in the bantamweight division. Tanzania Issa Nampepeche is rated at #11 in the Jr. Bantamweight division.
Africa, Middle East & Persian Gulf boxers are making a noticeable appearance at the IBF ratings and we thank IBF/Africa for making gigantic efforts to marshal supports for these potential women and men from this region.
