  Although Mr. Appiah did not win any trophy for Ghana, he is arguably the best national team captain Ghana has ever had. He lead by example. He did not clash with any coach. He never requested that specific players should be selected. He never threatened to quit. He did not quit. Absent injury, he was always available for selection. I feel that I should write a long piece for this illustrious son of Ghana.

  Appiah was by far the most divisive captain ever.He got into a shouting match with a player for speaking twi to another player.He was always envious of the younger players and did everything in his power to mess with their confidence.Milo used him to intimidate players and Ghanaian team officials.
