At the time of the formation of Real Tamale United (RTU) my argument was that it will destroy football in Tamale in the long run. Tamale already had two well established clubs (Savana Stars and Gbewaa United) that were already competing with other top teams in the country. Besides both clubs were enjoying the type of support and rivalry that are essential for football development. The Northern half of Tamale was mainly Savana Stars and the Southern half mainly Gbewaa. Today, people can sit anywhere and base a team in Tamale and when it suits them they can then move the team to wherever they like. Tamale is the poorer for the absence of Savana Stars and Ghewaa - a real lesson for Tamale.

In our context, if there is a controversy between your Club and another owned by a 'minnow', how do you expect the judgement to be?
