You tell a coach to win or face the sack. The coach wins alright but then got sacked. Even after that Nyantaky DECEIVED the entire nation by his coefficient.
  Then you employ a foreign coach and Nyantakyi decides to deceive the entire nation again by hiding his salary. You make known the salary of a local coach but decides to hide that of a foreign coach. Is this fair? You tell a foreign coach to only do well but not to win the cup against the wishes of the entire nation - deceiving the nation again. So why is Ghana there at all- to waste the tax payers money-deceiving the nation again. I am not surprised that Nyantaky is a muslim in the north and a christian in the south - a deceiver deceiving himself.
  Well Ghana will "DO WELL" as all will know and and in this case not be HIDDEN.

  The analysis in this article is correct but incomplete. I think the writer is thinking superficially. He is not thinking deeply enough and not about the root causes of the problems the Black Stars have so he fails to mention corruption in the GFA and government. The players attitude is consistent with the greed, selfishness and incompetence in our leadership. Everything is wrong in Ghana, starting with politicians. The players have picked up on it and wonder why should they be the ones to sacrifice. Just imagine Muntari, Essien, KPB and Kwasi Appiah are gone but not the GFA. Also, Afriyie Ankra still works for the president. Why? The only accountability the people have received is a commission of inquiry. No action, no changes so far. Apology is not the answer. People need proper actions in order feel that the team is doing its best and support them even when they lose.

If Ghana comes home after the group stage of AFCON, what is next? Kwasi Appiah, the "snowball" is no longer around to be blamed, so are Muntari, Prince Boateng, Essien, etc., therefore the current officials of all this fiasco should resign since Ghanaians are sick and tied of them.   The problems of the Black Stars began long ago, although they were downplayed by authorities, who actually superintended over those problems. Andre Ayew taking over the number 10 jersey, Asamoah Gyan being handed the captaincy after he had resigned from the team are but a couple of the numerous. How can an indisciplined player lead a team and instil discipline into them? Everyone does his own thing , and until there is a radical overhaul, the Black Stars will continue to fall.

  This is linked to the above.The lack of hunger of the players. Playing as if its a "park game" and not putting themselves all out for the win/national pride. Players should be hungry to win. Ghana hasn't won any senior level competition in OVER 30 YEARS!!!
  
  You see the only time Ghana has done well or reached a level where it was pushing above itself was at WC2010 and Afcon 2010. Both times players with egos were left out of the team.
  
  The problem is the GFA followed by the players both act like the BS is about them and not about winning for the country.

  Nyantakyi does not care agitating for 500million dollars each for the players as APPEARANCE FEES because he knows he will benefit hugely from it.
  We should not be surprised that Ghana pays 15,000dollars as winning bonus.Nyantakyi also collects winning Bonuses.
  Nyantakyi is very clever and capitalizes on the ignorance of our Sports Ministers to cheat the nation.Embattled Elvis Afriyie Ankrah was focused on enriching himself and he never cared about the general interest of the nation.Nyantakyi had a leeway then.Unfortunately Elvis is still a Minister of State.

  What governing body does GFA answer to? I have read all the comments but no one wrote about tangible or plausible steps to take to redress the stalemate. I wish to comment on what we need to do though these are my ideas, I am not an expert in this field. First, we should collect at least 10,000 signatories from concerned Ghanaians to be presented to the President with the intent to zerobase the entire GFA administration. 2. Lets place a someone with integrity and respect in charge of GFA... eg Attorney Amidou 3.Let GFA revisit the criteria and literature on conduct, selection process, benefits, incentives for players and consequences for violators etc. 4. There should be transparency and accountability with checklists for all Ghanaians to bi-annually evaluate the performance of GFA. I hope readers will add to or what I have written for the Governing body of GFA to step up its game.

  It is true that we are all entitled to our opinions. But for the most part, opinions are shaped by events and circumstances arising out of an issue or issues. I feel strongly that the whole "money" issue arising from the Black Stars camp, should be laid at the feet of the Management group and not the players. Whiles it is a privilege to play for one's country at the highest level, modern day sports dictates that athletes be compensated for their sacrifices.I feel that the so called officials with the team are the cause of all this mess. Why should they even be paid bonuses?? Apart from the Technical Team - Coaches, medical personnel, I don't see the need for even the GFA chairman to be paid a bonus?? That Ghanaians are unhappy with the Black Stars, is due to the propaganda machine, which made the players look like they were holding the nation to a ransom.I salute the gallant men(players), who have endured unwarranted insults and are out there trying to make Ghana proud. We should rather vent our anger on the GFA and Black Stars Management group.
