We as fanatic supporters of the legendary Ghana Black Stars had severe doubts whether Gyan could play at the highest level because of lack of competition. He surprised us positively. World Cup participation is also a factor. Ten goals at Al Ain is like no goal in the premier league. How many goals did Gyan score at Sunderland? Scored the same number of goals in one game at Al Ain. WHY THE BIG DIFFERENCE. Therein lies the COMPETITIVENESS OF THE RESPECTIVE LEAGUES.
Scoring four goals at the World Cup alone cannot let you be the best. Even if messi doesn't score goals u could still see he is good. Same as Ronaldo. Ball handling/control, taking on opponents, decision making in dangerous situations etc etc all count.
Problem with Africa is always defending our own . We are all guilty of this cancer. Ghanaians fighting for their own Ivorians doing same etc etc THIS IS THE BASIS OF CORRUPTION WHICH OUR POLITICIANS TRY TO AMASS WEALTH -THINKING OF THEMSELVES (fighting for the individual) AND NOT THE NATION THEY ARE TO SERVE.
We shall die in our misery of we CANNOT SEE BEYOND OURSELVES.
objectivity is what we should strive to attain. No favouritism be it our twin brother or someone from outer space. Can we do that ? Very improbable . WE SHALL DROWN IN OUR MISERY INDEED.
