  With the kind of defenders that we have, Ghana cannot pass the first round if a good coach does not take over. Gone are the days of Kingston and John Mensah. Now the defence is porous and no cohesion between goalie and defenders. We all saw it in the qualifying matches. Konadu was there in all these matches and could not fix it. How dare you take a coach like this to AFCON? It will be a disaster

  How come nobody criticizes till Osei Tawiah has already done so on Ghanaweb and received insults? Obviously some well known people are copying us here on Ghanaweb. They always come up and repeat what we have already said. Why don't they bring their opinions first but always copying opinions from Ghanaweb? Ghanaians love to copy too much.

To solve this problem the government of Ghana has over the decades made scholarships available for the needed human resource to be trained abroad. In some cases so many people were sent and not even one returned. If you know you are not prepared to work and live in Ghana and would therefore not return do not take the scholarships.

  It is not fair to attribute Black Stars below-par performance on the coach. The players lack quality. Most of them don't command regular positions in their teams and the defence (including goalkeeping) is clearly mediocre.

  It is not fair to attribute Black Stars below-par performance on the coach. The players lack quality. Most of them don't command regular positions in their teams and the defence (including goalkeeping) is clearly mediocre.
  To expect this team to win AFCON, is unrealistic. The time we should have won AFCON was when we had John Mensah and Vorsah at the defence but we lacked (and we continue to lack ) the mentality to win cups.
  No coach on the earth can lead the present Black Stars to win AFCON 2015. It will thus be an act in vanity to employ a foreigner, pay him huge wages as if we are mad and expect him to win something.

  The foreign based coach cannot save the day. The reality is that this team will barely sneak out of the group and might get lucky and make it to the semi-finals. I smell a quarterfinal knock out. However, the glimmer of hope for this team is if Gyan, Dede and KASA play the tournament of their lives. If those three were to give us goals every game we would put it off. Since the defense is weak, we have to compensate with serious goals.

  For Ghana great Ghanaian coaches we should send at four young coaches abroad to study and get up to European License A certificate. I will also suggest that we send one or two Brazil and Argentina. It should definately include a goalkeepers trainer. When these coaches come back they will infuse new ideas into our game.
  Kwame Nkrumah did that with CK Gyamfi and he is became a great coach. Goldfields did the same with Jones and became one of our best coaches,
