Good job Nsiah, My hope is that Francis Dodoo will not get frustrated by the system and give up on the young guys coming up. They need all the help they can get. In the long run, it will be better for Ghana Athletics.

Representing two of the sponsors of Ghana athletics we can only comment that under Dodoo leadership all funds have been used transparently. We are also encouraged by our investment and results obtained.

Nsiah has stated a plethora of things wrong with the administration of track & field program in Ghana. The problems stem from lack of interest in t&f because it is not a glamorous like football. Until the country pays enough attention to the sport, Ghana will always languish behind other African countries when it comes to t&f. It appears the selection process is not based on merit, but rather on who you know. It doesn't make any sense that an athlete with a better time is not selected to the team. The Ghana Athletic Association deserves applause for securing scholarships for some of the athletes to compete in US at the junior college level. The fact that most of them are all attending junior colleges indicates, among other things, a lack of strong academic credentials to attend four-year colleges. What will happen to them after their eligibility expires in two years and they unable to gain admission into a four-year college?

Martin,
This is the beginning of their second year at the community college. So don't just be ignorant about it and talk about lack of academic credentials when these athletes are competing. It tells me you don't know what you are talking about because no athlete will be competing if they are not doing well academically.
