I think Konadu would do a better job compared to Akwasi Appiah. Both coaches are not the best, but one thing I've observed about the two is that Konadu is NOT a moron, Kwasi Appiah is, period!

What can we get from the Black Stars that will be different from what we have got from them these past 32 years? It is not as if by appointing a so-called top class coach which we seem to believe only comes from Europe, the Black Stars will win trophies. The team itself has a mindset problem. We must correct this by letting them know that they are Ghanaians and they must always be coached by a Ghanaian. If a European coach is employed, it will only help to reinforce the wrong notion of the players who don't see themselves as Ghanaians because of their successful careers in Europe. It is this wrong notion that makes them despise Ghanaian coaches.
We must not behave as if the most important thing for Ghana is football. Going for a very expensive foreign coach when we are struggling with our economy will be a very unwise thing to do. With our support, Maxwell Konadu can do the job -give him the job.

GFA wanton praise of themselves has no basis in any outstanding achievement in recent years. Let us get serious and revamp the whole football and sports regimes in Ghana to achieve tangible results for all the funds and resources the government pump into sports.

A white coach comes take a chunk of our sports budget unable to win a cup, he is sacked and huge compensation or else before FIFA. What is this? In any case any cup that we have won was by a Ghanaian. Iam really surprised by the kowtooing of the FA to these so called sports journalists and social commentators in sacking AA. And now I could see confusion everywhere with demands made by Avram Grant. Like I said elsewhere none of the coaches invited would take even three or fourfold AA was taken yet the difference would be the same or worse. Cant we see?

I think Konadu is good for the future, he should understudy for 2 -4 yrs as assistant coach and he can take over. Too early for him now. They could kill his potential if given the job now

Wasn't Kwesi Appiah part of the coaching staff that excelled at the 2010 edition? Konadu should be given a chance. He has been successful with every team he's been in charge of. I would prefer Tetteh as coach but I believe Konadu can and will do a fantastic job. He's been more successful as interim coach than both Appiah and Tetteh. Think about that.

I have predicted long time ago that the only coach to reshape the Black Stars into a formidable team would be Selas Tetteh Teivi, i know him very well both on and off the field of football. I played with him and teamed with him in his midfield position and it was the best time of my life during the hey days of Golden pods Koforidua under coach Asabe Boakye former Kotoko and Republican ace. Selas tetteh is a Very intelligent guy and he knows how to pair and how to win games. His game reading is superb. I remember one time at training ground at the Ghana secondary shool park Asokore Koforidua, I was playing my usual position at no 9 franked by Akore, lawee also nicknamed GBANGBALU, sULEY MUHAMMAD, Baba,Go slow and Akede. He selas broke free from the midfield and i started running deep into the attack, he raised his head and saw me completely unmarked, without hesitation he lobed the ball all the way to me, i chested it down beautifully and as ASkore dashed i made a through pass to Akore and the ball was at the back of the net.Asabe boakye was so happy the way selas worked it out something ill never forget for the rest of my life. He went to Germany as an assistant coach in 2006 world cup and i missed the game Against Italy at Hanover, it was the perfect time to meet and old friend and an old school soccer mate. I send a message to him in Germany through a friend from London based supporters and i got a reply from him it was very nice to hear from him after almost nearly 40 years since we played together but am still optimistic one day i will meet him to reflect on experience and have some life. He is a tru gentleman and most of the time i try to make him talk by wining him up at our base at nsukwao rest house and he will just smile. Trust me it was the best time of my life with Goalkeeper ampeh Before before, and some other great players form the Ahanti region and some from Ba UNITED, YA GREAT TIME.IIwasnt surprised when he led Ghana to achieve one of the greatest trophies with the under 21 squad against Brazil in that crucial penalty shoot out. Only time will tell when SELAS will be crowed a national senior headcoah. Fingers crossed.
