  For fear of being tagged a supporter of this or that political party, most Ghanaian journalists or commentators these days generally practise what one can describe as namby-pamby and scared commentaries- my question in this instance is why go back to 2001, the issue we face right now is the wanton dissipation of state funds before and during Brazil 2014, SA 2010, won't even mention Maputo, and the brazen manner alleged pilferers are going around like "can't touch me" etc. Push for dealing with the here and now and let the laws make examples of folks who fall foul of the law. You are writing now because of the ongoing inquiry and it has little to do with 2001 - hey when Malam Issa at that time was alleged to have taken, he was tried in court and jailed, not so. It is the current government you must tackle and stop being lily-livered and trying to do equalization.

  Add GNPC sponsorship to the government sponsored corruption of the GFA and only one sided sponsorship for sports development. How GNPC, a state owned company agreed to spend so much money only towards Black Stars beat my mind. GNPC pump more money to only Black Stars than what MOYS and NSA spend on all other sporting disciplines and the rest of the national soccer teams.
