The record could be good for some minion of a team or of a country in Africa; but this is absolutely not good enough for the legendary Black Stars of Ghana. It is good he is gone because he cannot take the team any further than he has gone. The guy has put a lot of us through enormous stress, which was absolutely unnecessary, due to his incompetence. He has overstayed his welcome and sadly he did not know when to call it quits; well that being the case, he has to go, has to be FIRED, and FIRED he was.Congratulations to the GFA

Don't tell me Kwasi Appiah can't figure out what a good player is. His main problem was always starting with Team B and always benching his best players. Another problem with him was putting players in wrong positions. He also wastes too much time before making substitutions. All these make him a bad coach.

Common Ghana, why is everybody quiet? Can't we stand up for our colleague?
Are we going to sit down quietly and accept the decision to sack Kwasi Appiah for winning more than 40% of his matches and losing less than 40%? That is not fair?
If we consider that Kwasi Appiah did not play the matches but is being sacked for the failure of the team, then I supposed the GFA bosses must all be sacked for the failure of the Black Stars, too. Just consider the mess caused by Elvis and his team, and the mess caused by the GFA themselves in the handling of the players' participation bonuses! Even the women's team have had the same problems with their bonuses, but nothing is being done to the GFA.
If Kwasi Appiah goes, then the entire GFA must also go for the failure of the Black Stars. There has been under-currents about the appointment of a technical director for some time now. Why was the GFA keen on appointing a foreign coach/technical director without consulting the incumbent coach? We have had these foreign coaches before; with the disparity in the salaries these foreigners received compared to what Kwasi Appiah was given, these foreign coaches should have won the world cup and/or African cup for Ghana several times over. The appointment of a local coach was the proudest moment in the live of Ghana football. But somehow, Kwasi Appiah was never given the support he needed to succeed; yet still, he did his best and made Ghana proud whenever he led the team onto the pitch.
Ghana football will not be the same again if Appiah is not reinstated immediately! Let us all stand up and shout and demand that either the entire GFA goes out with Kwasi Appiah, or he be reinstated as soon as possible. The way the foreigner is bein sent in through the back door justifies kwasi Appiah's comments. Ghana Football, stand up and be counted!

I'm sad for Coach Appiah but life goes on. He was a good Coach but I think during the World Cup against USA his selection was a little suspect. I think he should have used Kwadwo Asamoah in the midfield instead of defence because we had Daniel Opare and Samuel Inkoom out there.
But also I think there was disrespect for him being a local Coach and so We should always try and hire foreign coaches at least for now until later on in the future.
I was happen for Mr. Appiah when he took us to the world cup after his failure to win the 2013 Africa Cup.

Much as Akwasi Appiah's mistakes were due partly to inexperience and mistiming,this coach should have been encouraged and allowed to correct them for our benefit.I firmly believe he is going to land a contract from ANOTHER COUNTRY,possibly from Africa,you all should mark my words.He is not bad,GFA management os bad,corrupt and would not allow the guy to take his own decisions.When those players complained he should have listened .I know Kwarasey,Kevin,Schlupp will all come back when a new coach who can decide for himself is hired.What we as Ghanaians need is a coach who can not be influenced,unfortunately it looked like Appiah was being pulled from all sides by forces in the GFA,CONTRIBUTING TO HIS DEMISE.The whole GFA NEEDS to be overhauled of Ghanaian fans should decide to boycott all the Black Stars' matches until they voluntarily leave the scene.The whole GFA MUST BE DISBANDED PERIOD!
