I wish them good luck because they will need a lot of it. If what I have been reading the last is indeed the case within Ghana Athletics, then the opposition have mountains to climb. Good luck telling people and the athletes that they should help you remove the guy who is leading the production of results better than athletics in Ghana has seen for a while.

As athletes who currently compete at the highest levels for Ghana, we are passionate about our sport and pour into it our hearts, resources, time and, in some cases health, as sacrifice in our quest to lift higher the flag of Ghana.

We don’t always succeed, but most of us are performing as well, if not better in some events, than our predecessors did when they were at the same age. In other areas, we are underperforming but that does not mean we are not trying our best to be successful.

For a group to set multiple national records in 2 years is ABSOLUTE SUCCESS. They may not have done well at commonwealth games like we all hoped but by God they are heading in the right direction.

You say GAA must track all these athletes. WOW .... it was mentioned on radio 3 days ago that GAA has been doing this for 3 yrs. In fact during the season GAA circulates to all athletes weekly performances of their colleagues and list of qualifiers ie. qualification standards. Fuding decisions are already made based on performances. Just because your dumb ass does not know does not me it does not exist.

Oh Baguio. The only thing the athletes are asking for is to be judge fairly. They are not asking not to be judged i.e., criticized. Also the Prof guy are you saying he should resign because YOU think he is power hungry. hhhhm ...

Us athletes are not being used at all. We wrote this piece under our own volition. I do not understand why you consider it "pathetic" for use to write an article defending him as our president. We are the ones who have the most accurate and direct experience with him so it makes the most sense for us to speak our minds. We have read the terrible news pieces that denounce him as a "power hungry man with no need to be president".

Answer me this, who else should be the one to stand up for Prof Dodoo? When he speaks, people criticize. Athletes speak, people criticize.

All complaints heard are coming from the athletes themselves some please listen to what's being said and fix the problems and stop all these propagandas. Majority of the athletes that went to the US struggled to adjust to the education,language,money and food problems. One of them got pregnant and rumor is the pregnancy is for an association member call Bawa. So please fix the problems and move on so stop these nonsense of challenging the fact. Also why is it that Janet Amponsah and others don't get the chance to stay in Francis house but Martha? Is it because she's special? I don't know but Ghana has a population of over 25 million and if we have a national program like in the past the talent that will come up will me unbelievable. The program you have is for selected few and that's annoying. Most of them came from Rex Brobbeys program and you benefited from it but as a country there should be a program just like soccer, hockey with "national" competitions for all regions like before and every region gets a chance not this wierd, selected, restricted, favouritism, I don't like you so you can't compete attitude. Stop it and include everybody. When we used to have schools and colleges everyone had a chance from all regions to participate and it was nice but now everything is useless not fun anymore because of all these politicizing sports attitude. Stop it and come up and out with a national program involving every athlete that wants to participate to have a chance. Francis problem is ego not getting others involve except his cronies and that's why he's going be get all these insults just because he doesn't think others can contribute to make thing work. Look at all the money he's wasted from hosting a stupid "grandPrix" which the money went to stupid athletes from other place and local athlete never benefitted. The granprix thing never raised Ghana athletics. Nothing was gained and then the selected few that went to Finland and most of the athletes that went suffered a lot and nothing came out of it. Stop wasting the money or all you going to say it's your money? Sorry mother Ghana we will continue to suffer and we will not grow ever if we keep the right people out of this.

Your ramblings show how little you know about what is going on in Ghana Track and Field. Lots of athletes have stayed at profs house if they did not have a place to go. This includes Janet Amponsah. Your posting confirms what some of us suspected. You are so out of the loop that unless you are told you assume it is not happening. You say athletes are complaining. What exactly are athletes complaining about. Please share with us because at this point you and your fellow critics have lost all credibility. The only side providing verifiable facts, as far as I can ascertain, is GAA, Prof and the athletes who endorsed the piece they wrote. You complain but somehow manange not to provide evidence. Sometimes you are dead wrong and clueless. Instead of asking if you are not sure, you accuse them of things that you have no proof of. From what I know, GAA has been working on juniors for 3 years. Reeks Brobbey did a program where, if I remember right, they housed athletes for 3 days. How can holding 4 trials around the country and then camping athletes for 3 days be responsible for the success we are seeing? Can you point to an athlete who qualified for the commonwealth games AND African championships who was not on the team? Please name at least one. Now we should stop hosting competitions because 'YOU think it is a waste of money? You really have a problem. Please name one country in the world that has a "national program involving every single athlete". Can you name one? Wooooaaaa I should have read that point earlier. You have absolutely no credibility with stupid statements like that. Aaaaba
