Even those officials that took these boys out there took their share of the money how much more the very boys doing the job. If you work for a company and you aren`t paid, how`d you survive when the management get their pay? Salaries of government workers aren`t paid but the politicians get their pay. The least thing that happens which involves unpaid monies to their politicians, they stand up for it while civil servants and handled as they don`t need their salaries. During Kufour`s time, they got loans to buy cars, how many of them paid everything in full?

World cup did not bring anything to your economy, even to the host nations. It leaves the host nation in billions of debt. The money from the WC does not belong to the players.It belongs to the state/GFA or whoever invested in them.Any money given to them out of that should be at the discretion of that person.

When I work I must get paid. That is true but what about our men and women who are uniforms and a cap or barret with the national coat of arms emblen in front who die at the course o defending the nation. They also pay taxes, they also import cars and pay duties on them to be candid they donate directly or indirectly to charity equally the same as you professional footballers do however, they do not get apperarance fees.
In these regards if you've been selected to play for the national team and an agreement is not met it doest not argue well and for that matter that philosophy should be discouraged for the betterment of mother Ghana and the generation to come.
Look back in retrospect the time of Baba Yara, Aggey Fynn, Osei Kofi,C.K Gyemfi, Alice Anim just to mension a few, these sports personalities contributed inmensely to the development of sports in Ghana and won various laurels for the nation without the demand of apperance fees because they're doing it for the love of the game and the nation and never boycotted training sections because their demands were not met.
Though globilization has brought a lot of changes into sports;it is very sad or heart felt to hear that our heroes of 1963-1983 Black Star players who won the Africa Nations Cup for four times got compensated couple of months ago in 2014.
Though its not fair however they'll be highy considered as true patroits who deserve to be given the Honor Of The Volta Award for their devotion and dedication to sports in the country.

The Black Stars needs to let the old guys go and bring in new blood like the young men who were in the last u21 World Cup. They will have more hunger and desire than the current team which has become complacent and arrogant.

For your information, it happens in the United States quite often where players attack their coaches and officials.

A case in point was when basketball star Latrell Sprewell choking his coach Carlesimo during practice. He nearly killed the coach. It took several of his teammates to break the choke hold.

Sprewell did not go to jail (as you surmised that such behavior warrants jail time in your so-called "civilized societies). The NBA just suspended him for 68 games (which is like a few months, since they play two or three games in a week). But, he left the team (Golden State Warriors) only to be picked and offered a $21-million deal by the Timberwolves, which turned down because he thought he was worth more.

The point is that these things happen all over the United States, in one of your so-called civilized countries, and they blame it on steroids that the players take.

So, before you start blasting the "uncivilized" Africans for a rare mistake of one person, you better look at your "civilized" societies.

At least, we do not go out killing our teachers, or shooting up our schools, malls, churches, cinemas, etc just because we are angry at something.

If the players knew that FIFA was responsible for paying their appearance fee and not the Ghana government, why did they not appeal to FIFA but held the nation to ransom.....Personally I think our players are overpaid.

This in defensive response to the debacle that went on in Brazil,one can not even rap his or her head around it.The nation was hijacked during that period.But the excuse been put forward,is unbelievable.If you bring to Ghana, your luxury automobile and pay duty,that is your choice.The fact is, Ghana has giving you guys a lot,to have the opportunity to be where you guys at today.So don't take Ghana for granted.The charity is good,but how about coming together and put something like a hospital which will benefit average guy on the street,who has no hope when a medical crisis strike.That my opinion.Go figure.Look at the EBOLA crisis in our region.We do not have an isolated facility for something as grave as Ebola.You guys should start thinking,there is a lot that you guys can do to let Ghanaians feels you care.Not only the fame.

PATRIOTISM AND TAXES are secondary matters.The $100,000 does not include the accommodation, food travel and sight seeing. When they play their leagues they pay for their accommodation, food and travels.Pls compute all the cost including disappearance fee.
