Surely the players couldn`t stomach it any longer when they realized that Management Committee Members of the Ghana Football Association licked US82,500 as their appearance fee, the same as they (the Players). Firstly Kwesi Nyantakyi, Chairman of the Management Committee traveled with his family in first class together while they the players who needed to be together as a team had to travel separately in 2nd Class. Their families were left behind while their teammates and brother (KPB) playing for other countries have their families sponsored to Brazil. To add insults to their injuries, their experience players had to watch team loosing to US from the bench. Their demand for $100k appearance fee before the match against Portugal and the explosion is not only logical but very human and understandable. I hope the Management Committee, the coach, the technical team have a better reason to tell the commission why Ghana lost to US with our international experience players benched.

I have no problem with payment of per-diem to officials, but appearance fees should go to players and coaches only. One might consider some $5,000 bonus to officials in addition. That should be enough.

Now, anyone with brains ought to understand Muntari's actions and allegations of corruption in the GFA. Now, one can understand why the GFA is determined to keep the unachieving coach Appiah. For that fee and not a player, it is a gold mine which most people would like to get in on. To reform, the fees of players and committee members should be drastically reduced. Players should not get more than 50K, and officials not more than 10K. Most important, allowances should be based on winning and how far the team goes in matches; after all, board and lodge are already paid, aren't they. Just giving them 100K win or lose, without conditions attached, shows how empty-headed the GFA and football management in Ghana relly is -- wow, that we call STUPID!No doub worn out veterans who cannot hold on to starting positions in the clubs also want to get in on the action; after all, there is money to be made without a sweat. Who knows, perhaps a % of the fees to such players have already been allocated to those corrupt officials. Talk about incompetence, that is what we call such decision-making.The Commission must be supported to make cleaning-house recommendations in the GFA.
