When Muntari and Prince Boateng were fighting for the rights of Black Stars in Brazil Ghanaians could not help them when they were dismissed from the team. Either the media or GFA has done a terrible job of educating the public on the differences between an appearance fee and a bonus. Because the public is uninformed they are quick to jump into the fray with shouts of corruption or the appearance of players being cheated out of their money by the authorities. Bonuses are promised as an incentive to spur greater performances, whereas appearance fees are paid to players, often by the organizers for the benefit of team playing in the tournament. Because they failed to advance,the Black Princesses have no room to complain about not receiving any bonuses. They have the right though to complain if they weren't paid their appearance fees. In other to avoid all these issues with money, there needs to be contract between GFA and players called up to the national team. The contract will spell out the rights and responsibilities of the parties involved. Unlike Ghana, this is often the norm in developed countries. You hardly hear complaints about bonuses and money coming from players from these countries.

Why is the team crying foul for not being given any bonuses for failing to meet the milestones set by GFA? They are right to demand payment of their appearance fees. Denying payment of appearance fees to those who did not play is the first step to stealing money earmarked for the team by the tournament organizers. To alleviate all these money problems, there must be a contract between the players and GFA, spelling out the responsibilities of both parties. The contract will provide the players with a legal recourse should they have any complaints against GFA about being cheated out of their money.
